CLASS FAQ

Alcohol Ink is a chemical, please make an informed choice

Alcohol ink is an ink suspended in 99% alcohol (similar to rubbing  alcohol) it emits a smell which can be quite strong. Whilst this venue  has you in an extremely ventilated space, it is important to be aware  there is an odour. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or booking in a  child please review the safety data sheet for Pinata Alcohol Inks to  make an informed decision for your own personal situation.

Sealing your work

You will receive a setting coat at your class, this will be an  aesthetic seal. You will need to purchase a clear varnish in order to  seal your work a number of more times to ensure the longevity of your  artwork. One seal will not be enough. We suggest our gloss sealant, you can purchase it here (and  choose 'click n collect' then email us to let us know you would like it  brought to class for collection). The best way to seal your work is to  place your glasses on your tray, and do sweeping motions across your  work at a minimum of 20cm distance from it and allow it to dry fully in  between each coat. 4-5 light coats will yield the best results. Note  this spray looks white when applied but dries clear.

Travelling with your work

This is an ink class, you will travel home with 4 wine glasses.  Please avoid rubbing them against each other during their transit home,  they will be tacky from their first sealing coat. We recommend  travelling via uber to allow you to hold your work while your travel and  avoid any accidents.

Colours

You will have access to a range of colours on the day. We do not  promise any specific colours. If on a particular night one colour is  exceedingly popular and the supply is exhausted, you will be required to  choose from the remaining colours. Demand varies from class to class  and colours are provided on a first in best dressed basis.

Parking

At this time of day, there is ample street parking available directly opposite the venue and more behind the building.

What to wear to class?

We can not provide aprons due to covid regulations and so we  encourage you to BYO an apron if it is your preference. You will be  seated outside at this venue. During summer this is gorgeous, during  winter it's still gorgeous but a little on the chilly side so wear  something warm and enjoy a glass of vino to warm yourself up!

Can I pre-order a meal?

No, the venue provides a special discounted menu for Sip 'n' Dip  Classes. If you have special dietary requirements you can contact  Chapters direct.

What happens if I can't make it?

You can find the terms and conditions here.

What size is this class

This class may vary from 10-40 people depending on any given night. We send additional teachers when class sizes are larger.
